For family oriented people who want to escape from urban sprawl, Newcastle combines the convenience and choices of urban living with the comfort and community of a small town.

The King Conservation District is a natural resources assistance agency authorized by WA State and guided by the WA State Conservation Commission. Our mission is to promote sustainable use of natural resources through responsible stewardship.

The Weed Warriors WA State Non-Profit Organization provides education about invasive weeds and opportunities for environmental stewardship through educational events, seminars and workshops, and offers "hands-on" restoration projects in parks, trails and open spaces for volunteers.
Weed Warriors are proud to produce the 6th annual Earth Day event in partnership with the City of Newcastle and the King Conservation District.

Puget Sound Starts Here is a partnership of regional governments dedicated to improving water quality in Puget Sound and our local lakes, rivers and streams. We are a consortium of 57 cities and counties.

The Mountains to Sound Greenway connects natural areas, trails, working farms and forests, historic towns and communities, wildlife habitat and recreation opportunities from Seattle across the Cascade Mountains to Central Washington. The Greenway provides easy access to recreation and nature for millions of people in the Northwest, key to the quality of life in this region.  


Knights of Veritas is a non-profit organization bringing the Earth Day Feature Performance on Environmental Chivalry from the event mian stage. They specialize in interactive educational demonstrations of medieval arms, armour, combat, knighthood and chivalry.

The Seattle Electric Vehicle Association has been "Educating, Demonstrating, and Proliferating" the use of Electric Vehicles for over 30 years.The association is made up of interested individuals, technicians, teachers, EV Business people, and suppliers of EV components. 

Pedalheads® Bike Camps
is a summer cycling program for kids ages 2-12.  We provide an innovative, effective, and educationally sound program that promotes kid's health and development. 

CedarMists Healing Arts offer a full suite of bodywork and healing modalities such as feet, hand and ear reflexology, relaxing and functional massage, and wellness coaching, that soothe away the aches and pains accumulated in life.

The Boeing Employees' Concert Band formed in 1979. The band plays a wide range of music from lively marches to show tunes, great classics arranged for band and holiday music appropriate to the season. The band performs concerts in parks, schools and other events around Puget Sound.

Seattle Turtle and Tortoise Club is a charitable organization formed exclusively for the purposes of Chelonian education through monthly meetings, public outreach programs, Turtle and Tortoise Rescue and supporting private conservation efforts both locally and globally for the preservation of the world's turtles.


Holy Cross Orchard Garden
The Holy Cross Lutheran Church operates a community garden open to members of the community and to the congregation of the church. The garden is organic and no pesticides are allowed. Gardeners are encouraged to contribute extra produce to community food banks.

County Noxious Weed Control Program
works throughout the county to prevent and reduce the economic, environmental and social impacts of noxious weeds in King County, Washington. The program's focus is to provide education and technical assistance to landowners and public agencies to help them find the best control options for noxious weeds on each site and to reduce the overall impact of noxious weeds throughout the county and to provide benefits to the environment, recreation, public health and economic resources of King County by preventing and minimizing the harmful impacts of noxious weeds.

The mission of the King County Library System is to provide free, open and equal access to ideas and information to all members of the community. KCLS offers an unparalleled collection of stories, books, ebooks, music, computers, internet resources, public programs and free wireless access.

The Puget Sound Beekeepers Association is formed to promote the common interest and general welfare of beekeeping, to protect honey bees, to educate beekeepers, encourage good bee management practices, and to encourage good public relations between beekeepers and the public.

is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit volunteer organization focused on the preservation, expansion, and maintenance of trails within the City of Newcastle, Washington. We recommend trail routes, identify priorities, and maintain a registry of volunteers to assist the City in trail work
