Stage Performance at Noon. Presented by King County Library System, Newcastle Branch

Thank You! to Our 2015 Event Sponsors and to the King County Library of Newcastle for making this stage performance possible.

Program Description: A magnificently profound and humorous journey to the world of storytelling, song and Native American flute music of our Coast Salish territory. We don't simply listen to the story… we are part of the story! We will travel to the ancient forests, meadows and waters of our Salish Sea and experience the eternal connective sounds of nature with masterful deliverance of Coast Salish Native American flute music.

Traditional Storyteller & Native American flutist Paul “Che oke ten” Wagner is from the Saanich First Nations of Vancouver Island BC Canada. His debut CD “Journey Of The Spirit” won a JPF National Music Award, “Best Native American Album.”

"You Can Help Wildlife by making your Yard a Wildlife Habitat," says Ranger Rick, National Wildlife Federation Mascot. Learn how at Earth Day.
View Raptors, Frogs and Toads up-close and enjoy the Animal Encounters Pettying Zoo presented by the Boeing Employees Credit Union. Bring your camera!

Earth Day is celebrated in cities in 194 countries around the world. Locally, businesses and non-profits share ideas and products that help make our lives healthier - socially, economically, and environmentally. We are proud to promote healthy living through sustainable practices, environmental stewardship and social responsibility.  And it begins in cities, neighborhoods, homes, and backyards like yours! This is Newcastle's 8th Annual Earth Day Event.
