Refurbishing the kiosk Platform at Cowboy Hill in Hazelwood Park.
The park has 7.3 acres of natural, wooded ground.
Western views of Lake Washington, Mercer Island, Seattle and beyond
The eastern half of the park includes a boardwalk through a forested wetland.

Rain Garden Introduction and Maintenance of Hazel Valley Rain Gardens.
This site, located in Burien, is part of the 12,000 Rain Gardens campaign
&Puget Sound Starts Here Program.
Meet at the Burien Press coffee shop for orientation, then travel to rain garden site.
No transportation provided. Tools and gloves are provided.
Dress for the warm weather and bring a refillable water bottle.

National Trails Day Walk 'n Find, “Nuggets of Newcastle.”
Discover Newcastle history at historic locations, native plants and non-native noxious weeds, and the important salmon habitat of May Creek as we traverse the canyon down to the creek and back up to Lake Boren Park. Wear sturdy walking shoes.
Meet at Lake Boren Park. Entire walk covers approximately 2.5 miles.
GPS coordinates for history locations are found at the beginning of the walk.
Collect a “Puget Sound Starts Here” pathtag.
