1. Host Weed Warrior Booth with Animal Encounters Petting Zoo
2. Prep the May Creek Trail for the 5K. Volunteers sign-in at the Weed Warrior booth
September 8th: Sunday Newcastle 5K in Lake Boren Park- Volunteers needed to host Weed Warrior booth at the 5K. Volunteers Sign in at 7:30 AM
September 15th: Sunday May Creek Trail Dedication - 2:00 PM
Location: Coal Creek Parkway Retention Pond at the May Creek Bridge.
Sept 21st: Knotweed Control Class for King County residents Flier Volunteers Needed! Location: Fire Station #9 on Newcastle Way. Saturday 10:00AM - 2:00 PM Class & project qualifies individuals to borrow herbicide injectors from King County.
October 12th: Salmon Scavenger Hunt, May Creek Trail, 10:00 AM Details
October 14th: Monday, 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Annual Planning Meeting for 2014.
Meeting is Open to All Volunteers. Location: Fire Station #9 Meeting Room
October 22nd, Tuesday, 6:00 - 9:00 PM. Newcastle Town Hall Meeting at the Newcastle Golf Club, Ballroom. We'll promote the National Wildlife Habitat Program to certify Newcastle as a Wildlife Habitat Community with Newcastle residents.
October 26th: Arbor Day Tree Planting with the City of Newcastle.
